Anxiety and depression prevention in children

Early support for lasting resilience

Some children are particularly vulnerable to anxiety or depression—especially those with a family history or early signs of worry, sensitivity, or low mood. I offer early, structured support to strengthen the skills that protect against these patterns over time.

Children learn to:

  • Recognize and express their emotions

  • Identify and apply coping strategies across settings

  • Tolerate uncertainty, frustration, and discomfort

  • Think more flexibly and adapt to change

  • Regulate their bodies during moments of overwhelm

  • Handle everyday challenges and recover more easily from setbacks

Sessions are focused, practical, and time-limited (typically 10–16), emphasizing skills children can use in daily life—at home, at school, and with peers. Parents are actively involved, ensuring that skills are reinforced consistently and integrated into daily routines.

With early support, children can learn to navigate these challenges without dimming the depth and sensitivity that make them who they are.
